Fossils - Onna-Yasha

I like Inu-Yasha. Can ya tell? I was watching tons of it around this time. I'm very behind on recent episodes. I've only seen up to episode 50, and I know they've broken the 100 episode mark... But I digress.

The title is a Japanese language pun that I got from a friend when I showed him this picture. I made the girl resemble Inu in some ways, and onna is the Japanese term that denotes a woman or a girl, so...there you go.

Despite appearances, the girl -- whom I call Tabi, another pun -- is a full-blooded cat youkai. She adopts an appearance more like Inu's when she hangs around him. Maybe to make him feel better. I actually don't have much of a story for her. I just doodled her one day and decided to draw her with Inu, but I figure they were probably good friends oh, say, a century or two ago. I wonder if she did this sort of thing often.

I think I was able to imitate the anime style well, which may be why I still like this picture a lot.
